How to Install
Add from Chrome Web Store
Click "Add to Chrome" on the Chrome Web Store listing. Confirm by clicking "Add extension" in the popup.
Open ChatGPT or Claude
Navigate to chatgpt.com or claude.ai. The extension activates automatically on these pages.
Type a prompt
Start typing in the chat input box. After 2–3 seconds of inactivity, FixMyPrompt will appear if your prompt can be improved.
Follow the prompts
A small balloon appears with your prompt's score and an "Improve with Questions" button. Tap chips to answer 3 quick questions, then accept the improved prompt.
Frequently Asked Questions
A few reasons this can happen:
- Your prompt already scores well — if the extension detects a well-structured prompt, it shows a ✓ checkmark instead of the improvement balloon.
- The balloon already appeared in this conversation — it only shows once per new conversation to avoid being disruptive.
- Page loaded before the extension — try refreshing the page and typing again.
- The prompt is too short — prompts under ~10 characters are ignored.
Known Issues & Limitations
